Company History

November 1912 The founder, Shibasaki Hirozo, started producing vinegar at Mori, Kasumi-cho, now the north side of the parking lot of Daijoji, Mori, Kasumi-ku, Kami-cho.
December 1927 Relocated to 405-2 Mori, Kasumi-cho (present: Mori, Kasumi-ku, Kami-cho)
Year 1953 Started production of soy sauce
August 3, 1974 Established Ajigan Co., Ltd., and started the processing of fish products
December 3, 1985 Licensed to produce pear wine
June 15, 1992 Changed the company name from Ajigan Co., Ltd., to Tokiwa Co., Ltd., and integrated its businesses
June 13, 1995 Capital increased to 12.5 million yen
March 4, 2002 Relocated to a new factory at Mitani, Kasumi-cho (present: Mitani, Kasumi-ku, Kami-cho)
July 15, 2002 Capital increased to 25 million yen
September 6, 2006 Established Tokiwa Trading Co., Ltd. (independent from the Tokiwa mail-order division)
